Hello all! I am pleased to announce my new portfolio website! http://kelliurabe.wix.com/kmuport
I've been working really hard on it for the past few months. I'm glad that I finally got it launched.
When the time seems right, I'll also change the domain name. I figured there's no sense in paying for a domain yet, when I'm not currently job hunting.
Anyway, take a look! There's a blog on that site too, but I'll be limiting those to important posts relevant to the portfolio. Otherwise, keep coming back here! I'm want to blog more... but I am also trying to keep up to date in my social media. Why is the internet so big?

Hey all. Thank you so much for checking back here, ever. Here's a small taste of the past couple week of art that I FINALLY got around to uploading.Due to the sheer amount, I do not want to upload them all to this blog and have to retype everything, so go and check out my tumblr blog, which will have everything in order, and will also have explanations of everything that was made.
Thanks again for all of the support!

Hey all! Due to the popularity of my Hylian Sword post, I finally decided to get around to doing a post about my Master Sword. (Sorry for this lame photo by the way).
Just like the last post, this isn't necessarily a "how-to", but instead a documentation of how I made mine. I'm going to point you in the direction of a tutorial that I roughly followed.
Anyway, here we go!

Thanks for still coming to check out my blog.
I haven't posted my "daily art" in a while. I promise I do have things for the past week, I've just been too busy to scan and upload all of them with proper watermarks, etc. ..
I'll try to get those up later today if that's possible.
Anyway, for now, enjoy these photos from an early morning hike I did last week~

The Poro vinyls have gone into production! I can't wait to start selling them when I get everything set up for ordering. Please stay tuned!
I did a quick doodle of my trainer in Pokemon X.
Pokemon Fusion: Pika-fairy (a combo between Pikachu and Clefairy).
Idea for the fusion, courtesy of the fusion generator
Something a lot different from the past few days. I'm really happy about the way it turned out.

So for today's project, I made a video of my vacation to California!
All too often I record videos on my camera, but they end up never seeing the light of day since the day of recording it. This time I wanted to change that and actually make something out of the few videos I recorded on my trip.
It's like having a digital scrapbook, with audio.
I guess it's more so for me and Jesse, but it's also for me to share with my family and friends who weren't able to see me this past Christmas.
Anyway, I was a little hesitant to post the link in the first place, so it'll be available for a short while.
Here is the link to it for now: http://youtu.be/2CAHy4WzAd4
Hope you can handle my voice for the next few minutes.

For those who don't know, Poro is a character from the ever popular, League of Legends. He's very adorable.

Today I decided to use my Copic Markers, since I haven't touched them in a while.
I thought about coloring Vulpix completely, but I ended up really liking how it looked with just the red-brown accents.
Copic Multiliner pens
White Jelly Roll
Touchups in Photoshop CS6

So I guess I'm going to stick with just this art-a-day project this year. (Hopefully).
The above is a doodle I did today of Poro from the very popular League of Legends.
I plan to turn him into a vinyl sticker soon or in the near future, so keep your eyes on the blog for updates!

Happy Year of the Horse (My year!).
Specifically it is the year of the wood horse:
I am planning to do art everyday this year, and am also thinking of doing project 3-6-5 (photo a day) again. We'll see what develops.Wood attributes are considered to be strength and flexibility, as with bamboo. It is also associated with qualities of warmth, generosity, co-operation and idealism. The Wood person will be expansive, outgoing and socially conscious. The wood element is one that seeks ways to grow and expand. Wood heralds the beginning of life, springtime and buds, sensuality and fecundity. Wood needs moisture to thrive.
I can't believe it's already the start of a new year. I was just getting used to the idea of 2013.
I have been very blessed this year, and I am looking forward to what this new year will bring.
Be sure to check back for more art this year!
